Tigers Blast Butler On Senior Night, 17-1

In the penultimate section contest of the season, North Allegheny jumped out to a 14-0 halftime lead, coasting to a 17-1 Senior Night win over Butler at Newman Stadium.
The Tigers scored seven goals in each of the first two quarters.
Nick Sichak, Travis Lamark, Christian Tedder, Marc Bartolomucci staked NA to a 4-0 lead. Jonathan Castillo then found the net twice before Marco Pascarella scored his ninth of the season.
Bartolomucci and Tedder added their second tallies of the game before Castillo netted the hat trick. The freshman, who now has 26 goals on the year, has scored in 13-of-14 games.
Sam Porter notched his ninth goal of the season, before Bartolomucci capped off his hat trick.
Sean Boal and Adam Flavell each scored their first goals of the campaign before halftime.
Tedder completed his hat trick, before Ayden Davis broke the shutout for Butler.
Derek Walker and M.J. Schwemmer rounded out the scoring for the Tigers with goals in the fourth quarter. Logan Lyle started in goal and made a pair of saves, with Tyler Eyerman also making two saves in a relief effort.
Marc Bartolomucci, Sean Boal, Matt Miller, Marco Pascarella, Dan Porter, Beck Taucher and Christian Tedder were celebrated before the game on the field and afterwards with this award.
North Allegheny, (8-6,6-0) plays at Seneca Valley on Thursday. A win over the Raiders would clinch the second consecutive undefeated section title for the Tigers. North Allegheny would receive a bye in the WPIAL Playoffs and would most likely be in line for one of the top seeds as the 3A Section 2 champions.
North Allegheny does have a pair of games scheduled on the weekend in the MSCLA Tournament in Ohio. The WPIAL lacrosse pairings are due Thursday, May 11 with the playoffs set to begin the following week.
