Tigers Earn First Win Of The Season

The North Allegheny girls’ soccer team bounced back after a close loss on Friday to beat Altoona 7-3 on the road for the first win of the young season.
Junior multi-sport athlete Rosalia Varlotta led the way with a hat trick. Junior Kieran Shannon scored two goals in the contest. Other Tigers finding the back of the net included junior Bella Montgomery and senior Avery Ruffus.
With the win, NA improves to 1-1 on the young season and will quickly return for a home test Monday night against Upper St. Clair at 7:30 p.m. That match will be broadcast live on the North Allegheny sports network.
