Tigers Receive No. 1 Seed In Upcoming WPIAL Playoffs
The WPIAL released its soccer playoff pairings on Wednesday afternoon and the North Allegheny girls’ soccer team received the No. 1 seed in the Class 4A bracket. The top-seeded Tigers finished the regular season with a 17-1 overall record and won the Section 1-AAAA title with a 13-1 mark.
North Allegheny’s first playoff opponent in the quarterfinal round is the eighth-seeded Bethel Park Black Hawks. Bethel Park finished fourth in Section 2-AAAA with an 8-4-2 record.
NA will host Bethel Park in the WPIAL quarterfinals on Thursday, Oct. 27 at 6:30 p.m. It’s the first post-season meeting between the two teams since the Tigers defeated the Black Hawks, 3-0, in the WPIAL first round in 2020.
