
Tigers roll past Rams
North Allegheny traveled to Pine-Richland on Thursday night to take on the Rams in a battle of teams ranked in the top 10 in the state. The Tigers left no doubt who the better squad was sweeping Pine-Richland by set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-21.
Will Robertson led the way offensively with eight kills while Garen White had five kills. Matthew LaMay, Nathan May and Peter Bratich all had four kills. LaMay added two aces from the service line. Brendan Moore and White each had six blocks at the net. Bratich helped with five, Robertson had three and Elijah Braun added two. LaMay had eight digs defensively. Robertson added seven and Emmett Morris chipped in six. Jackson Failla dished out eight assists while Elliot Swierczynski helped with six. James Zimmer had five helpers while Josh Chou had two.
North Allegheny improves to 10-1 overall and 6-1 in the section. Pine-Richland falls to 7-4 overall and 4-4 in section play. The Tigers return to action today when they travel to State College to take on the Little Lions at 6 p.m. NA will then participate in the State College Invitational on Saturday.
