Tigers Serve Up Fourth Win in Five Days

Playing for the fourth time in five days, the North Allegheny girls’ volleyball team claimed another victory on Saturday with a 3-0 sweep at North Hills. The Tigers earned the victory by set scores of 25-12, 25-13 and 25-22.

The offense was paced by senior Paige Morningstar and sophomore Mia Tuman with nine kills each. Junior Rachel Burton and senior Paige Miller also chipped in offensively with seven kills each. Tuman registered 10 digs on defense, followed by sophomore Caroline Curran with nine digs. Junior Jadyn Perkins notched three blocks at the net and senior Leigh Ivory kept the Indians off balance with three aces.

With the win, North Allegheny improves to 4-0 overall and in Section 1-AAAA. The Tigers will enjoy one day off before hosting Butler on Monday night.
