Tigers Suffer Setback To St. Ignatius
The North Allegheny boys’ lacrosse team traveled to Ohio for a tough tune-up game against St. Ignatius and dropped a 16-5 decision to the Wildcats. St. Ignatius led wire to wire and held a 12-1 lead by halftime.
Junior Gavin Hagen led the Tigers on offense with two goals and an assist. Freshmen Matt Osten and Ben Maenza, along with junior Dillon Dugan, also scored goals for NA. Sophomore Jono Pelusi scooped up a team-high five ground balls. Sophomore Wes Powell collected a team-best three forced errors and chipped in with three ground balls.
North Allegheny dips to 2-2 overall on the season following the loss. The Tigers look to bounce back on Monday night with a home contest against Western Reserve Academy at 6:00 pm.
