Tigers Top Wildcats In Non-Section Matchup

The North Allegheny boys’ lacrosse team got back in the win column on Monday night with a 15-5 road victory over Greater Latrobe.

Sophomore Evan Wade led the way for the Tigers with a six-goal performance while recording an assist. Fellow sophomore Charlie Jones had a hat trick in the contest.  Senior Johnny Castillo recorded two goals and an assist. Senior Brayden Sowa scored his first varsity goal for the Tigers. Other scorers included senior Colt Gibson, Jack Dimond and sophomore Sawyer Catchen.

The goaltending was split three ways for NA in the contest. Senior Alex Costa and sophomore Sam Walters each had five saves. Freshman keeper Conner Eich recorded his first career save as well. Sophomore Tyson Knapp had six faceoff wins while freshman Nick Cook had five.

The Tigers improve to 6-7 on the season and travel to North Hills on Thursday for a non-section matchup at 5:30 p.m.
