
Tigers Vanquish Foxes, 2-0
The North Allegheny girls’ soccer team won its fifth consecutive game on Monday night with a 2-0 shutout at Fox Chapel in Section 1-AAAA action. Junior goalie Natalie Rak made eight saves to earn her eighth clean sheet of the season.
The Tigers got all the scoring they needed with 10:13 left in the first half when junior Abigail Stager tickled the back of the Foxes net for a 1-0 lead. Senior Sophia Palermo put the game away with 12:35 remaining in the second half with a goal to bring the score to its eventual final, 2-0.
North Allegheny leaps to 15-1 overall and 11-1 in Section 1-AAAA. Fox Chapel slips to 7-7-1 overall and 5-5-1 in the section. The Tigers will visit Allderdice on Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. in the team’s penultimate section game of the season.
