Tigers Win Joust With Knights, 3-1
The North Allegheny boys’ volleyball team looked to stay sharp in a non-section contest against the second-place team in Section 3-AAA and defeated the Norwin Knights, 3-1, on Wednesday night. After dropping the first set, 25-22, the Tigers rolled off wins of 25-15, 25-11 and 25-21.
Junior Canyon Tuman and senior Luke Visgitis provided plenty of big swings with 15 and 12 kills, respectively. Senior Eric Visgitis stacked the middle of the net with 10 blocks, while libero Danny Lebovitz totaled nine digs on defense. Setters M.J. Barton and A.J. Schmidt split time and tallied 33 and 20 assists, respectively.
North Allegheny improves to 10-0 overall with the win. The Tigers host the Butler Golden Tornado on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in section action.
JV Update: NA won 2-0 (25-16, 25-23).
