TIGERS DOWN NORTH HILLS, 184-207
Led by senior Alex Morse who shot a 2-under par 33, the Tigers downed archrival North Hills, 184-207, at Highland Country Club on Tuesday afternoon. Junior Jeff Hinds and senior Matt Pekins added 37s to pace the big win by NA. Kevin Locante posted a 38 to lead North Hills.
The win improved the NA section record to 3-2, the overall mark to 4-2 on the season. The Tigers will host both Seneca Valley and Pine-Richland this afternoon in a tri-match at Diamond Run. Tee off time for the section matches is set for 3:30 pm.

SHALER EDGES TIGERS, 196-191, AT PITTSBURGH NORTH
The Shaler Area Titans got past the Tigers, 196-191, at the Pittsburgh North Golf Course on Thursday afternoon. Junior Jeff Hinds shot a 36 and sophomore Michael Turner a 37 , but it was not enough for NA. Mike Hartman had a one under 34 to pace the Titans.
The loss dropped the NA section record to 2-2, the overall mark to 3-2. The Tigers will return to action next Wednesday when they host Seneca Valley and Pine Richland in a tri-match at Diamond Run. Match time is set for 3:30 pm.

TIGERS DOMINATE NEW CASTLE, 185-227, FOR THIRD WIN
Coach Dede Rittman's Tigers traveled to New Castle on Thursday afternoon and returned with a 185-227 victory over the 'Canes. Senior Alex Morse led the way with a one-under par 34 while junior Jeff Hinds posted a 35. Junior P.J. Cassidy shot a 37 to finish just two over.
The win improved the overall record to 3-1. The Tigers will be back in action again next Wednesday when they host the Butler Golden Tornado in a section match. The starting time is scheduled for 3:30 pm.

TIGERS EDGE HAMPTON, 186-192, IN NON-SECTION MATCH
The Tigers traveled to Deer Run Golf Club on Wednesday afternoon and came home with a 186-192 victory over Hampton in a non-section match. Sophomore Michael Turner shot a 35 to win medallist honors while senior Matt Pekins was a stroke behind at 36. NA improved the overall record to 2-1 on the season.
The Tigers will travel to New Castle this afternoon for a section match.

PEKINS LEADS NA OVER NORTH HILLS, 190-196
Senior Matt Pekins shot a 35 to lead the Tigers to a 190-196 victory over archrival North Hills at Diamond Run on Thursday afternoon. Senior Will Corbett came through with a 37 while junior Jeff Hinds contributed a 38 to the winning Tiger total. Bill Weeks paced North Hills with a 37.
The win evened the NA section record at 1-1. The Tigers will be back in action next Wednesday when they travel to Hampton for a non-section match.

PINE RICHLAND DROPS NA IN SECTION OPENER
The Tigers traveled to Pine Richland on Tuesday for the section opener where they were defeated by the Rams, 192-199. Will Corbett shot a 37 to lead the Tigers while Mike Van Sickle was match medallist with a 32. Junior Jeff Hinds posted a 38 while senior Matt Pekins and sophomore Mike Turner added 40s.
The loss gave NA a record of 0-1 in section play. The Tigers are the defending section champions and were the WPIAL runnersup last season.

TIGERS CAPTURE SECOND IN PETERS TOWNSHIP INVITATIONAL
The Tigers opened the 2004 campaign by taking second place at in the Peters Township Invitational at Rolling Hills Country Club. NA finished behind host Peters Township by nineteen strokes, 375-394. Sam Felicetti of Peters shot a 69 to earn medallist honors.
The Tigers will begin the defense of their Section 3 title this afternoon when they travel to Pine Richland for a 4:45 pm match.
