MATCH SUMMARIES GIRLS WIN, BOYS LOSE AT ROCHESTER The Lady Tigers came through with a 7-0 victory against Rochester at the Beaver Valley Lanes on Wednesday afternoon. The boys dropped a 7-0 decision to the Rams, their first loss of the season. Junior Maria Frantz led NA with a 491 series including a high game of 181. Freshman Ryanne Tyler followed with a 431 with freshman Chelsea Weber adding a 426. Senior Dan Schulties led NA with a 576 including a 214 in the third game. Senior Justin Thomson followed with a 555 and a single game high of 220 while senior Mike Guernsey added a 539. Sophomore Cory Mardorf came in to roll a 211 but it was not enough as NA fell into a first place tie with Rochester. With the win, the Lady Tigers improved to 4-1 on the season while the boys' record went to 4-1 after the loss. The Tiger teams will be back in action again on Wednesday, January 7, when they host Beaver Falls. Match time is scheduled for 3:30 pm at the Perry Park Lanes. MATCH

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * TIGER TEAMS SPLIT WITH NORTH HILLS The Tiger boys shut out North Hills, 7-0, at the Pines Plaza Lanes on Wednesday afternoon to push their record to 4-0 and remain in first place in Section 4 of the WPIBL. North Hills' girls defeated the Lady Tigers, 7-0, to drop NA into a first place tie with North Hills with each posting 3-1 records. Junior Ashley Goodwin led NA with a 507 series including a match high 195. Freshman Ryanne Tyler was next with a 433 followed closely by freshman Chelsea Weber with a 425. Senior Dan Schulties again led the boys with a 699 series including games of 249, 247 and 203. Schulties leads Section 4 with a 217.67 average. Senior Justin Thomson followed with a 617 and high games of 236 and 202 with senior Mike Guernsey adding a 588 series with a 204. Junior Kevin Koleck chipped in with a 215 for the winning Tigers. The Tiger teams will travel to Rochester on Wednesday to meet the Rams in a 3:30 section match. MATCH

UNBEATEN WITH Both the boys and girls' teams defeated Northgate, 7-0, to remain unbeaten in PIHL competition. Freshman Ryanne Tyler led the Lady Tigers with a 445 series including a high game of 152. Junior Ashley Goodwin followed with a 441 and a high of 169 with junior Maria Frantz adding a 410 series. Senior Dan Schulties led the way with a 700 series including games of 248, 237, and 215. Senior Chris Sinagra followed with a 598 and high games of 226 and 202 while senior Justin Thomson added a 584 series with a 212 and 201. The Tiger team had a season high of 3057 pins for the match. With the wins, the NA teams improved their season records to 3-0 and are in sole possession of first place in Section 4. Next up for the Tiger squads will be another trip to the Pines Plaza Lanes for the showdown with rival North Hills. Match time next Wednesday is set for 3:30 pm. MATCH

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * TIGER TEAMS DOWN AMBRIDGE The Tiger teams won their second straight matches as they defeated Ambridge at the Perry Park Lanes on Monday afternoon. The boys shut out the Bridgers, 7-0, while the Lady Tigers earned a 6-1 victory. Senior Jill Speer led the Lady Tigers with a 527 series including a 221 in the first game. Junior Ashley Goodwin added a 468 with a high game of 169 while freshman Ryanne Tyler rolled a 432 including a high game of 170 for the winning NA team. Senior Mike Guersey led the boys with a series total of 652 including games of 268 and 201. The 268 was high for section play last week. Junior Kevin Koleck followed with a 629 series with games of 222 and 214. Senior Dan Schulties chipped in with a series total of 597 and high games of 223 and 203 while senior Chris Sinagra rolled a 216 for the winning Tigers. With the wins, the NA teams have opened their seasons with 2-0 records. Next up for the Tiger squads will be a trip to Northgate next Wednesday with match time set for 3:30 pm. MATCH

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * TIGER TEAMS START SEASON WITH TWO WINS Both the girls and boys' teams began the WPIBL season with wins against Beaver Falls. The Lady Tigers won a 5-2 decision while the boys earned a 7-0 shutout. Junior Maria Frantz led NA with a series total of 526 with junior Ashley Goodwin adding a 489 and freshman Ryanne Tyler a 446. Goodwin posted a high game of 210 while Frantz rolled a 199 to pace the winning Lady Tigers. Senior Justin Thomson led the Tiger boys with a 646 series including games of 242 and 226. Senior Dan Schulties added a series of 616 with a high game of 239 with junior Kevin Koleck rolling a 586 series with games of 212 and 201. Senior Chris Sinagra added a 232 and senior Mike Guernsey added a 206 for the winning Tigers. The Tiger teams will host Ambridge on Monday afternoon as league play continues. The starting time at the Perry Park Lanes is scheduled for 3:30 pm. MATCH
