PIAA FOOTBALL TICKETS ON SALE
Tickets for this Friday's state playoff game between North Allegheny and State College will be on sale at the NA Athletic office this week.  The game will be hosted by Pine-Richland.  Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students if purchased in advance.  All tickets will be $6 at the gate.  Below are the times tickets will be available at the Athletic Office for advance purchase.

TIGERS WIN WPIAL CHAMPIONSHIP!

NA HOLDS OFF WOODLAND HILLS RALLY, ESCAPES WITH TITLE
On the 20th anniversary of their last WPIAL football title, North Allegheny finally made it back to the top, defeating defending WPIAL champion Woodland Hills, 21-14.  Seemingly unaffected by the cold night at Heinz Field, the Tigers overcame adverse conditions, injuries, and a furious rally, to clinch their first appearance in the PIAA state playoffs since 1990.  Woodland Hills came up just short in its bid to be the first repeat Quad-A winner since Central Catholic in 2003 and 2004.  Woodland Hills also accomplished the feat in 2001 and 2002. FIRST COMMONWEALTH BANK "TIME TO BE FIRST" SCHOLARSHIP 

First Commonwealth Bank is offering a scholarship opportunity to local student-athletes.  The Time To Be First Scholarship is for any high school senior graduating in 2011 that has participated on an athletic team or club.  Applicants are asked to write a brief (500 words or less) essay describing why it is their time to be first.  Applicants will be entered to win one of twenty $1,000 scholarships.  For the full application, Click here!

FORMER NFL EXECUTIVE TO SPEAK AT NA SEMINAR
The North Allegheny Athletic Department, in conjunction with the National Collegiate Scouting Association, will be sponsoring a one hour seminar entitled “College Recruiting Simplified” on Monday, March 14^th at 7:00pm in the Baierl Center’s Ponce Room.  NCSA’s educational speaker, and former NFL Executive, Mr. Tom Donahoe, will be the main speaker.  Donohoe also served as the Steelers Director of Football Operations from 1991-1999.  This seminar is open to adults and students and is free of charge.

LIL' TIGERS BOY'S BASKETBALL CLINIC TO BEGIN
The North Allegheny Boy's Basketball Program is excited to announce the start of the "Little Tigers" ball-handling clinic.  This clinic is designed to teach boys in grades K - 4 ball handling skills, drills and techniques which will be showcased at three boys' varsity games this season.  For more details and a Little Tigers Registration Form, Click here! 

TINY TIGERS BASKETBALL PROGRAM AVAILABLE

Coach Sherri McConnell and the North Allegheny Girls Basketball team will help improve ball-handling skills in four Sunday sessions.  The girls can showcase their polished skills at halftime of two varsity basketball games in January.  For full information Click here!

VOTE FOR NA FOOTBALL PLAYERS FOR MR. PENNSYLVANIA AWARDS

Community Swim hours for November 2010 are as follows:
     Monday-Wednesday-Thursday:  8:00 - 9:30 pm
     Saturday:  1:00 - 6:00 pm
     Pool is closed on Tuesdays

The pool will also be closed November 25-29 for Thanksgiving holiday

Hall of Fame/NA HALL OF FAME CONTINUES MEMBERSHIP DRIVE
The North Allegheny Athletic Hall of Fame is currently conducting its annual membership drive.  All athletes who graduated in, or before, 2004 are eligible for consideration.  To nominate an athlete, you must be a member of the Hall of Fame Association.  (More)
