Three Tigers Named All-WPIAL, Four All-Section

Three North Allegheny Tigers were named to the Class AAA All-WPIAL team for an outstanding 2019 season. Junior attack Isaiah Davis, senior midfielder Matt Osten and senior defenseman Antonio O’Barto were selected All-WPIAL. Additionally, O’Barto was also named an All-American.
All three players, along with senior midfielder Ben Maenza, were all tabbed All-Section 2-AAA. For Osten and Maenza it’s the second straight season they earned all-section laurels. For O’Barto, it’s the third consecutive season he has appeared on the all-section team.
Davis, Osten, O’Barto and Maenza were all pivotal members of a North Allegheny team that went 14-4 this season and earned a Section 2-AAA title.
Tigers Get No. 1 Seed, First-Round Bye In Upcoming WPIAL Playoffs

The WPIAL released its boys’ lacrosse playoff pairings on Thursday and North Allegheny received the No. 1 seed in Class AAA and a first-round bye. The top-seeded Tigers will host a quarterfinal contest against either Seneca Valley or Canon-McMillan on Wednesday night at 8 pm. The Raiders and Big Macs will duel in a first-round contest on Monday night.

NA Boys Lacrosse Team Helps Feed The Homeless


Members of the North Allegheny boys’ lacrosse team and head coach John Rullan donated some of their time recently to provide food for the needy. Seniors Matt Osten, Luke Rafferty, Ben Maenza and Jake Williams helped deliver 385 pounds of ham to the Light of Life Rescue Mission in Pittsburgh on January 26.
