NA Takes Down Norwin, 3-0
Facing a tough non-section test against the 10th-ranked Norwin Knights, the top-ranked North Allegheny boys’ volleyball team passed with flying colors, earning a 3-0 sweep on Monday night. The Tigers won their joust with the Knights by set scores of 25-18, 26-24 and 25-23.
The big swings of senior Drew Hunker pointed the Tigers toward victory, providing 14 kills. Seniors Jeremiah Zemet and Alex Zubrow added seven and six kills, respectively. Zubrow stacked the net with a team-high seven blocks. Senior libero Trevor Treser led NA with 18 digs and senior setter Sava Topich dished out 35 assists.
North Allegheny improves to 12-0 overall on the season. The Tigers return to section play with a home matchup against the Shaler Titans on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
