Tigers Win 29th Straight Section Contest
The North Allegheny boys’ volleyball team capped a perfect trek through the Section 2-AAA schedule with a 3-0 win over the North Hills Indians on Thursday night. It’s the second straight year the Tigers have gone undefeated in section play. The Tigers picked up the victory by set scores of 25-12, 25-19 and 25-12.
Seniors Canyon Tuman and Jake Barber led the offensive effort with 13 and 10 kills, respectively. Josh LaMay chipped in with seven kills. Senior Ryan Beck posted a team-leading four aces and team-best eight digs. Trevor Treser added seven digs on defense. Setter A.J. Schmidt dished out 39 assists.
North Allegheny improves to 15-0 overall and 12-0 in Section 2-AAA. The Tigers have one more match against Ambridge on Friday night before the WPIAL playoffs begin next week.
