The North Allegheny boys’ soccer team added another victory to the win column on Tuesday night with a road win at Butler, 4-1, in Section 1-4A action.

The Tigers netted the first goal of the night when junior Nathan Katari was fouled in the goal box in the 24th minute. Katari promptly cashed in on the penalty kick for a 1-0 lead. In the 32nd minute, sophomore Graham Kuntz assisted on a goal by junior Zach Nash and the NA lead swelled to 2-0.

In the second half, the combo of Nash and Kuntz connected again, this time with Nash dishing out the assist to Kuntz in the 56th minute for a 3-0 advantage. Butler broke the shutout with an unassisted marker by junior Thomas Sheptak in the 75th minute, trimming the NA lead to 3-1. Any momentum gained by the Golden Tornado was short-lived as the Tigers answered back just a minute later courtesy of an unassisted goal by sophomore Leonardo Yu to put the finishing touches on a 4-1 victory.

Senior goalie Dante Accamando notched six saves and senior Ben Waldo reeled in one save to combine for the win. Senior Drew Knight made eight stops for the Golden Tornado.

North Allegheny leaps to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in Section 1-4A. Butler falls to 4-7 overall and 1-2 in the section. The Tigers will host North Hills on Thursday in another section contest. The game will be broadcast live by the North Allegheny Sports Network.
