John Neff To Be Inducted Into PA HS Track & Field Hall of Fame

The Pennsylvania High School Track and Field Hall of Fame has announced that North Allegheny head coach John Neff will be a part of the hall’s next induction class. The induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 27, 2023, during the PIAA Track & Field Championship Meet at Shippensburg.
Among many accolades achieved during his storied coaching career, Neff recently led the North Allegheny girls’ cross country team to a fifth consecutive PIAA title this fall. He also guided the NA boys’ cross country team to a third consecutive state crown in the fall of 2022 and six PIAA titles overall during his tenure as head coach. Under Neff’s tutelage, the NA boys’ track and field team won a PIAA championship in 2018. Neff has helped produce a bevy of WPIAL championships in both sports and has coached numerous individual state champions, including PIAA 60m High Hurdles record holder, Ayden Owens, and PIAA Cross Country champion, Ryan Gil.

Three Tigers Named All-State By PA Mile Split, John Neff Girls XC Coach of Year

PA Mile Split has announced its All-State Team for the 2022 season and three North Allegheny runners made the list.
Jack Bertram was named to the Boys Cross Country All-State team as a first-team selection and earned recognition as the Sophomore of the Year by PA Mile Split.
Wren Kucler was tabbed first-team All-State and named the Sophomore of the Year for Girls Cross Country. Third-team All-State honors went to junior Eva Kynaston.
Head coach John Neff was named the Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year after guiding both the NA boys’ and girls’ teams to PIAA championships this past fall.

Three Tigers named All-State, John Neff Tabbed Coach of the Year

The Pennsylvania Track and Field Coaches Association recently released its All-State Cross Country Team for 2022 and a number of North Allegheny Tigers are represented.
On the girls’ side, sophomore Wren Kucler took home First Team All-State recognition and junior Eva Kynaston earned Second Team All-State laurels. For the NA Boys, sophomore Jack Bertram was tabbed First Team All-State by the PTFCA.
The 2022 Coach of the Year for both boys’ and girls’ cross country was North Allegheny head coach John Neff. Coach Neff led the Lady Tigers to a fifth consecutive PIAA title and the NA Boys to a third straight state crown.
