At the State College Tip-Off Tournament on Friday night, the North Allegheny Boys Basketball Team began the 2013-14 season with an 85-54 victory over the LaSalle College High School Explorers. North Allegheny had eight players named to the Northern Eight All-Conference Team.  Earning First-Team All-Conference laurels was senior receiver Elijah Zeise, senior lineman Nick James, senior defensive lineman Zach Koegler (in photo), and junior linebacker Layne Skundrich.
