Campbell Melzer, Chase Rodak Ink Letters Of Intent
Two North Allegheny football players signed their letters of intent on Wednesday. Senior receiver/defensive back Campbell Melzer inked his letter with Saint Francis University (PA) and senior lineman Chase Rodak signed his letter of intent with NCAA Division II Clarion University.
Melzer was a first team all-conference defensive back in the Big 56 Conference and provided stellar play at corner all season. Despite missing three games due to injury, Melzer still ranked second on the team in pass break ups with 12, including a game-saving breakup in the final two minutes of a week five win against Central Catholic. Melzer finished with 25 tackles and one interception on the campaign.
Rodak was a valuable member of the offensive and defensive lines for the Tigers. Rodak helped open holes for one of the top offensive units in Class 6A that averaged 26 points per game. Rodak will play college football at head coach Art Walker’s alma mater, Clarion University, in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC).
Both Melzer and Rodak were key cogs in North Allegheny’s WPIAL Class 6A championship season in 2022. Both are pictured above.
