Campbell Melzer To Play For Team PA At 2023 Big 33 Classic
North Allegheny senior defensive back Campbell Melzer has been selected to the 2023 Big 33 Classic. Melzer is one of 13 WPIAL and City League players chosen to participate in this prestigious annual event.
Melzer, who recently committed to Saint Francis University (PA), was a first team all-conference defensive back in the Big 56 Conference and provided stellar play at corner all season for the Tigers. Despite missing three games due to injury, Melzer still ranked second on the team in pass break ups with 12, including a game-saving breakup in the final two minutes of a week five win against Central Catholic. Melzer finished with 25 tackles and one interception for the WPIAL Class 6A champions.
The 2023 Big 33 Classic will be held on May 28 at 7:00 p.m. at Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg. For a look at the Team Pennsylvania roster, which was announced on Friday, click here.
