Henderson Drops 22 Points to Sink Seneca Valley, 39-35

A hot shooting night from senior guard Caroline Henderson helped North Allegheny erase a second-half deficit and earn a 39-35 win at Seneca Valley on Monday night.

The Tigers trailed 33-29 after three quarters, but Henderson poured in two 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to propel NA to a Section 1-6A victory. In all, Henderson knocked down six 3-pointers on the night and netted a game-high 22 points. Senior guard Kellie McConnell also touched double figures with 10 points.

Seneca Valley was paced by Emerson Peffer with 14 points and Natalie Harnbly added 10 points.

With the win, North Allegheny improves to 17-3 overall and 7-2 in Section 1-6A. Seneca Valley falls to 12-7 overall and 4-5 in the section. The Tigers will host Hempfield on Friday night for the section finale at 6:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast live by the North Allegheny Sports Network.
