Daniel Sellers, Cameron Chmura Ink NLI’s On National Signing Day
Two members of the WPIAL Class 6A champion North Allegheny football team made their college choices official on Wednesday on National Signing Day. Senior lineman Cameron Chmura inked his letter of intent with Marshall University and senior edge rusher and tight end Daniel Sellers signed his NLI with the University of Richmond.
Chmura was an anchor at left tackle on the offensive line for one of the top offenses in Class 6A. He was a finalist for the Bill Fralic Award and was named first-team all-conference by the Big 56 Conference. Injured for part of the season, Chmura made 22 tackles on defense.
Sellers made 46 tackles at defensive end and hounded opposing quarterbacks to the tune of 5.5 sacks, tying him for most on the team. Offensively, Sellers tied for second on the team in receptions by hauling in 12 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns. An efficient ball carrier on the jet sweep, Sellers toted the football three times for three yards and three touchdowns. He was named first-team all-conference as a defender by the Big 56 Conference.
