Dante Accamando Named All-State, Manuel Montero Co-Coach of the Year
The Western Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association announced their All-State award winners on Tuesday and North Allegheny senior goalie Dante Accamando was named to the WPSCA All-State team. Accamando was one of 14 players from the WPIAL to receive all-state recognition.
Additionally, North Allegheny head coach Manuel Montero was tabbed the Class 4A Co-Coach of the Year with Butler’s Troy Mohney. Montero has led North Allegheny to one of its best seasons in program history, beginning the year with a 16-game unbeaten streak and currently boasting a 15-1-3 overall record.
The Tigers are one win away from their first WPIAL championship game appearance since 2017 and will take on Butler tonight in the WPIAL Class 4A semifinals.
