Football earns 13 All-Conference Selections

The North Allegheny football team had 13 players named to the Big 56 All-Conference team Monday morning.  Ten players earned first team laurels with three players named to the second team. 

First team defense included seniors Mason Hartung at defensive end, Nicholas Humphries and Conner Frank at defensive back and junior Lincoln Hoke at defensive tackle. Junior Korry Pitts took home second team honors for defensive back. 

The first team offense included seniors Jack Yatchenko at tackle, Liam Flaherty at running back, James Donaldson at wide receiver, Peter Notaro at kicker and Dylan Langdon for an at-large spot. Junior Ryan Logan was also named to the first team offensive line at guard. Senior Kyle Langdon and junior Luke Rohan earned spots on the second team at tight end and running back respectively. 

Hartung has 28 total tackles so far with two and a half sacks along with two fumble recoveries. The multi-sport athlete is also a member of the wrestling team. 

Humphries currently has 27 tackles, an interception and 11 pass breakups. The Drake University football commit was a Big 56 second team selection last year at defensive back. He is also a multi-sport athlete competing with the Track and Field Team.

Frank has 47 tackles in the 2024 season with two interceptions and a forced fumble. 

Hoke is a multi-time Big 56 selection, earning first team offensive line honors last year. The junior has accumulated 48 tackles with a team-leading six and a half sacks, two forced fumbles, an interception and a blocked kick. 

Pitts leads the team with three interceptions this season along with 33 tackles, a forced fumble, fumble recovery, three pass breakups and a blocked punt. The junior currently has an offer to play at Arizona State. 

Yatchenko is a three-time first team Big 56 offensive lineman. The Princeton football commit has also played a role on the defensive side of the ball, racking up 15 tackles. He is a multi-sport athlete with time on the Track and Field team. 

Flaherty was a second team Big 56 linebacker last season. In just six games this year, he has 224 yards on the ground, averaging 5.2 yards per carry with three touchdowns. He also had six catches for 52 yards. 

Donaldson was a second team Big 56 selection last year. He currently leads the team in receiving with 33 catches, 463 yards and four touchdowns. 

Notaro has earned back-to-back Big 56 first team kicker selections dating back to last season. The Alabama football commit nailed a career long 53-yard field goal this year while also serving as the team’s punter. 

Dylan Langdon was a Big 56 honorable mention linebacker in the 2023 season. He has continued being a two-way player for the Tigers with 10 catches, 120 yards and two touchdowns. At linebacker, he is second on the team in tackles with 60. 

Logan earns his first Big 56 selection as the starting left tackle this season. He has also contributed on the defensive side of the ball with six tackles and a sack. 

Kyle Langdon was an honorable mention tight end last season. He has five catches for 53 yards and a touchdown so far in 2024. The two-way player also leads the Tigers in tackles with 81, while earning half of a sack, an interception, forcing a fumble and recovering a loose ball. 

Rohan earns his first spot on an all-conference football team this season. After taking over the backfield for Flaherty, he has netted 660 yards on the ground, averaging 5.8 yards per carry and scoring seven times. He has three catches for 28 yards. As a linebacker, Rohan has made 27 tackles, a sack, an interception and two pass breakups.
