Lady Tigers Get No. 2 Seed, To Play Penn-Trafford in 1st Round
The WPIAL released the playoff basketball pairings on Tuesday night and the North Allegheny Lady Tigers received the No. 2 seed and will play the Penn-Trafford Warriors in the opening round of the Quad-A playoffs on Friday night at 6:30 pm at North Hills High School. The Lady Tigers were an impressive 19-3 overall and went a perfect 12-0 through Section 3-AAAA to earn the section crown.
The Warriors are an extremely young team that finished in a three-way tie for second place in Section 1-AAAA with a 8-4 mark, but own a subpar overall record of 9-13 entering the post-season. The last time NA played Penn-Trafford it was in the opening round of the PIAA playoffs on March 7, 2014. The Lady Tigers throttled the Warriors in that game, 64-39.
