Lady Tigers Launch Past Mars, 66-31

North Allegheny used a strong first quarter to propel past the Mars Planets on Tuesday night, 66-31. The Lady Tigers pounced on their non-section foe for a 24-5 lead in the opening stanza and never looked back.

Senior forward Taylor Lake scored a game-high 17 points. Senior Abby Gonzales tallied 11 points and connected on three 3-pointers in the victory. Tai Johnson led Mars with 17 points.

North Allegheny sits at 7-1 overall following the victory. The Lady Tigers will head south for a holiday tournament next week in Naples, Florida. NA will open the tournament on Tuesday afternoon against Miami Country Day at 4:30 pm.
