Lady Tigers Win Eighth Straight, Beat Oakland Catholic
North Allegheny won its eighth consecutive game, and eighth in a row against Oakland Catholic, in a 75-45 road victory over the Eagles. The Lady Tigers controlled the game from start to finish to remain unbeaten in Section 3-AAAA. The victory clinches at least a share of the section title.
Ten Tigers touched the score sheet, led by freshman Rachel Martindale who tallied a game-high 13 points. Martindale connected on three 3-pointers to pace the offense. Sophomore Madelyn Fischer netted 12 points and senior Taylor Lake added 11 points.
North Allegheny opened the game with a 22-12 lead after one quarter and led 40-22 at the half. The lead ballooned in the second half as the Lady Tigers coasted to the win.
The Lady Tigers improve to 15-3 overall and 10-0 in section play. Oakland Catholic falls to 4-14 overall and 1-10 in the section. North Allegheny will host Hampton tonight in a game that was rescheduled from Saturday.
