North Allegheny’s Mack Leftwich threw three touchdown passes at the Big 33 Classic on Saturday night to help Pennsylvania defeat Maryland, 58-27. Leftwich, who will play collegiately at the University of Texas-El Paso, tossed a 16-yard first quarter scoring strike to Clairton’s Tyler Boyd to give Pennsylvania a 14-0 lead. The North Allegheny standout put the game on ice in the fourth quarter with another touchdown pass to Boyd and a 4-yard touchdown to Coatesville’s Chris Jones. Leftwich wasn’t the only Tiger at Hershey Park Stadium for the Big 33 Classic. North Allegheny head coach Art Walker coached the Pennsylvania squad to victory, returning to the site of the Tigers PIAA Championship win over Coatesville in December.
