Hoke was a two-way starter who found his way onto the Big 56 first-team list for the third time in his career this fall after earning the award at defensive line last season and offensive line two years ago. In 12 games this season, Hoke accumulated a team-leading 80 tackles, including 12 for loss, seven sacks, four forced fumbles and two blocked kicks. The senior was named a member of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Fabulous 22 Team for the second season in a row earlier this month. Hoke was named a finalist for the Bill Fralic Memorial Award last month. Hoke took home a plethora of awards at the regional and state levels last season.
Pitts had a solid season on both sides of the ball, working as a defensive back and wide receiver. The senior had 24 tackles this season with two interceptions (including one returned for a TD) and six pass break-ups. Offensively, Pitts had 19 receptions for 327 yards and three scores while also contributing a kickoff return for a touchdown on special teams. He was a first-team Big 56 All-Conference defensive back this season after being named a second-team Big 56 All-Conference player last season.
Congratulations to both players on their North Allegheny careers, and good luck at the next level!
