Lydia Betz Earns All-WPIAL Honors, Three Selected To Roundball Classic
North Allegheny senior forward Lydia Betz was named All-WPIAL in Class 6A by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on Wednesday. The Goldey-Beacom commit averaged 12 points per game this season. For a look at the PG All-WPIAL teams, click here.
Betz is one of three Tigers tabbed for the annual Roundball Classic in the Class 6A vs. Class 5A matchup, which will be played at North Allegheny on May 26 at 6:00 p.m. Betz will be joined by fellow seniors Caroline Henderson and Kellie McConnell. Henderson will be playing collegiately at Rochester Institute of Technology and McConnell will play at the next level with Duquesne University. All three players will pivotal in North Allegheny’s 23-4 season and trip to the WPIAL championship game and PIAA playoffs.
