NA Cross Country Opens Season With Sweep Of Mars
The North Allegheny cross country teams traveled to Mars to finish off their dual meet season against Mars at Adams Park. The course was hilly but the temperature stayed below 80. Both the girls and boys brought home shutout 15-50 victories.
The Lady Tigers ran tough upfront with senior Keeley Misutka taking the win. Rachel Hockenberry, Lexi Sundgren, Maura Mlecko, and Mazzie Standish swept the scoring places respectively. Maia Getz and Sam Waldo rounded out the varsity squad.
The NA Boys won in just as convincing a fashion, with senior Drew Kollitz breaking the tape, followed by teammates Jack Hickel, Greg Kossuth, Michael Gauntner, Danny Robles in the scoring five. Graham Wolfe and Zane Kinne sealed the shutout of the Planets with a 6th and 7th finish respectively.
The Tigers will take on the WPIAL’s finest teams in the Red White and Blue Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
