NA Cruises To Win At North Hills, 61-12
The North Allegheny girls’ basketball team won its 26th in a row with a 61-12 triumph at North Hills on Thursday night. The Tigers held a 46-4 lead at the half and cruised to the win.
Twelve different players scored points for the Tigers, paced by senior Lizzy Groetsch who netted 14 points. Junior Emma Fischer netted nine points with all three of her field goals coming from beyond the arc.
With the win, North Allegheny improves to 13-0 on the season and 10-0 in Section 1-6A play. The Tigers will have a much stiffer test on Friday night with a non-section matchup against the No. 2-ranked team in Class 5A, the Chartiers Valley Colts. This varsity only contest tips off at 7:00 p.m.
