
NA Sinks Susquehanna, 58-44
The North Allegheny girls’ basketball team won its fifth consecutive game on Sunday with a 58-44 victory against Susquehanna at the Hoops for Harmony Tournament on Sunday at York High School.
The Tigers rolled to the win thanks to a spectacular shooting day from beyond the arc. In all, NA buried 11 3-pointers, including six by senior guard Caroline Henderson. The RIT commit finished with a game-high 20-point performance. Senior Grace Heliger, a Baldwin Wallace commit, tallied 14 points and a trio of treys. Duquesne University commit, senior Kellie McConnell, touched double figures with 10 points and two 3-pointers.
Susquehanna was led by Schuyler Coles and her team-best 15 points.
North Allegheny improves to 11-1 overall with the non-section win. The Tigers will return to section play on Thursday with a visit to Hempfield to take on the Spartans.
