Nicholas Humphries Commits To Drake University For Football

Nicholas Humphries has decided where he will continue his academic and athletic career upon graduation. The defensive back announced on social media Tuesday night that he will be attending Drake University next fall.

The senior had an impressive campaign last season, earning Big 56 All-Conference Second Team laurels at defensive back and leading the Tigers in pass breakups. So far this season, he leads the team with 10 pass breakups along with 19 total tackles and an interception. Humphries leads the team with 10 kick returns, averaging 21.1 yards per return with a long of 36 yards. He is also averaging 19.2 yards per punt return with a long of 40 yards. He has also seen time as a wide receiver on offense.
Nick is also a member of the North Allegheny Track and Field team in the spring where he won a goal medal at the Baldwin Invitational in the 4×100 relay and finished first in the long jump.

Drake University participates in Division I FCS out of the Pioneer Football League. Last season, the Bulldogs finished first in the conference with an 8-0 record (8-4 overall) before bowing out in the 1st round of the FCS Playoffs to North Dakota State.
