North Allegheny seniors Andrew Gavlik, Conrad Johnson and Nate Spak signed their letters of intent to play college football next season.

A Big 56 Conference first-team all-conference pick at running back, Gavlik signed his letter of intent with Mercyhurst University in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). Gavlik was the workhorse in North Allegheny’s rushing attack and toted the football 192 times for 936 yards and five rushing touchdowns.

Johnson was a reserve offensive and defensive lineman for the WPIAL Class 6A champions and signed his letter of intent to play at Thiel College in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference.

Spak inked his letter of intent with the University of Delaware in the Colonial Athletic Association. Spak was a second-team All-Big 56 Conference linebacker in Class 6A, making 39 tackles and one interception during the 2022 season. Spak was also a hard-nosed forward for the North Allegheny ice hockey team and a key member of a Penguins Cup championship in 2021.

Congratulations to all three players and best of luck in their future endeavors.
