Tigers and Indians Battle To A Draw

North Allegheny boys’ soccer hosted North Hills in a section match Tuesday night at Newman Stadium. NA jumped out to an early lead, but the visitors battled back and were able to tie the game before regulation came to a close 2-2.
The Tigers found two quick goals from junior Vik Vaders. The first took place with 34 minutes to go in the opening half. Senior Francis Randiga found Vaders off a throw-in and Vaders headed the first marker behind the opposing keeper. Less than two minutes later, Vaders connected once more via a heel kick to make it 2-0. North Hills found life late in the first half when keeper Adrian Werner cleared the ball into the NA defensive zone, acting as a lead pass for senior Altahir Faraj, who found the back of the net.
The lone goal of the second half came with less than seven minutes remaining courtesy of Khalil Eljoufri.
With his two goals, Vaders was named Wright Automotive Player of the Game.
NA now sits at 5-1-2 overall and 3-0-1 in section play. The Tigers are back in section action on Thursday from Pine-Richland.
