Tigers Top Tribe To Remain Unbeaten
The North Allegheny girls’ basketball team earned a hard-fought road win at North Hills on Saturday afternoon, 54-47, in non-section action.
The Tigers trailed 41-39 entering the fourth quarter before a big final stanza propelled NA to the win. Senior guard Kellie McConnell led the comeback with eight points in the fourth quarter, including a pair of 3-pointers. For the game, McConnell paced the Tigers with 14 points and connected on four shots from beyond the arc. Senior forward Lydia Betz also touched double figures with 11 points.
Senior Gia Minton led North Hills with 18 points and Gia Sturdivant added 12 points for the Indians.
With the win, North Allegheny remains undefeated at 5-0 on the season. The Tigers will visit Shaler on Thursday for another non-section contest.
