Tigers Topple Tornado For 23rd Consecutive Win
The North Allegheny girls’ basketball team won its 23rd in a row on Tuesday night with a 71-45 road win at Butler in Section 1-6A action. The Tigers jumped out to a 41-22 lead by halftime and cruised in the second half to the win.
Four players touched double figures for NA, including sophomore Jasmine Timmerson who paced the offense with 15 points and three 3-pointers. Senior Paige Morningstar netted 14 points, followed by sophomore Cam Phillips with 13 points and senior Lizzy Groetsch with 12 points.
Butler was led by Makenna Maier and Maisy Gibson, who each tallied 12 points and two 3-pointers.
North Allegheny improves to 10-0 overall and 8-0 in Section 1-6A. Butler falls to 5-5 overall and 5-3 in the section. The Tigers will visit Shaler on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.
