Wright Automotive Tip Off All-Tournament Team
With an impressive showing at this weekend’s Wright Automotive Tip-Off Tournament, the North Allegheny girls’ basketball team not only won the tournament title but had three players named to the All-Tournament Team. Among those were junior guard Abby Gonzales, junior forward Taylor Lake, and senior forward Meg Morningstar.
After punishing the Kiski Cavaliers, 67-3, on opening night, the Lady Tigers followed with a 48-37 triumph over the Penn Hills Indians in the tournament championship on Saturday afternoon. The Indians reached the title game by defeating Chartiers Valley the night before, 57-50. Penn Hills had three players named to the All-Tournament Team, including standout sophomore Desiree Oliver, sophomore guard Jade Ely, and junior forward Da’Lynn Anderson-McKinney.
