Photos Courtesy of Charlie Neely TIGERS FALL SHORT AT WESTERN REGIONAL Both Tiger teams failed to qualify for the state championships in competition at the Rolling Meadow and Westway Lanes in Erie on Friday and Saturday. With the top six teams qualifying, the boys' team finished in 16th place while the Lady Tigers came in 20th in the team competition. In the individual events, the top six also qualified for the state championships. For the boys, junior Danny Schulties came in 20th while junior Mike Guernsey finished in 54th place. For the girls, sophomore Maria Frantz was 18th while senior Kelly McCullough came in 43rd and freshman Meredith Michalojko finished in 68th place. The state finals will be held on the weekend of March 14th, 15th and 16th. WESTERN

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * TIGER BOYS FALL TO AMBRIDGE, 5-2 The Ambridge Bridgers eliminated the Tigers from the WPIBL playoffs by a score of 5-2. Ambridge recorded a total of 3118 pins to 3078 for NA. Junior Dan Schulties led NA with a series total of 714 in a tough loss for the Tigers. Both the boys and girls will bowl in Erie this weekend in the regional playoffs. The top six teams advance to States along with the top 24 boys and girls in singles. Action is slated to get under way at the Rolling Meadow Lanes on Friday at 9:00 am for the boys and 2:00 pm for the girls. Competition concludes on Saturday with the girls set to begin at 8:00 am with the boys starting at 1:00 pm. WPIBL BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP

TIGERS FROM The North Hills Indians avenged last week's loss with a 5-2 victory over the Lady Tigers at the Pines Plaza Bowl on Thursday afternoon. Senior Kelly McCullough led NA with a 510 series including a 223 individual game high. Senior Laura St. Onge recorded a 494 series including a 182 in the third game while freshman Meredith Michalojko was third with a 487 series and 178 high game.The loss ended the NA season as they finished with a final record of 7-4. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TIGER TEAMS SWEEP RIVAL NORTH HILLS Both Tiger teams recorded victories over rival North Hills at the Perry Park Lanes on Wednesday afternoon. The boys took a 4-3 victory in their match while the Lady Tigers also edged the Indians, 4-3. The Lady Tigers were led by freshman Meredith Michalojko with a 476 series. Senior Laura St. Onge followed with a 436 while sophomore Maria Frantz rolled a 423 and senior Kelly McCullough a 422. Michalojko had the high game of 176 followed by St. Onge with a 169and Michalojko with a 161. For the boys, junior Mike Guernsey came through with a series of 651 including games of 225, 224 and 202. Junior Danny Schulties chipped in with a 606 series with high games of 214 and 210 for the winning Tigers. With the wins, the NA teams finished with section records of 7-3 and third place finishes. Both Tiger teams qualified for the WPIBL playoffs. The boys will travel to Ambridge on Wednesday and the girls to North Hills on Thursday. The starting time for both matches is set for 3:30 pm. MATCH

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * TIGER TEAMS TAKE TWO FROM QUAKER VALLEY Both Tiger teams were victorious over Quaker Valley by 7-0 scores at the Perry Park Lanes on Wednesday afternoon. Sophomore Maria Frantz led the Lady Tigers with a series total of 517. Senior Kelly McCullough was close behind with a 510 including individual games of 184 and 172. Freshman Meredith Michalojko rolled a 174 while Frantz had individual games of 178 and 171.Junior Mike Guernsey posted a 532 series to pace the NA boys with junior Danny Schulties and freshman Cory Mardorf close behind with series of 525 and 524 respectively. In individual games, Sophomore Sebastian Gentile rolled a 214 with Guernsey recording a 209 and Schulties a 204. With the wins, both teams improved their section records to 6-3 on the season. The Tiger squads will complete regular season play on Wednesday when they host rival North Hills at the Perry Park Lanes. Match time is scheduled for 3:30 pm. MATCH

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * AMBRIDGE TAKES TWO FROM TIGERS Both Tiger teams were defeated by Ambridge on Wednesday afternoon at Ambridge. The Lady Tigers dropped a tough 4-3 decision to the first place Bridgers while the boys were defeated by Ambridge, 5-2. Senior Kelly McCullough led the Lady Tigers with a 570 series, second best in the section for the week. Freshman Meredith Michalojko was next with a 512. In individual games, McCullough rolled a 206 while Michalojko recorded a 201 as NA came up just short. For the boys, junior Danny Schulties recorded a 644 with junior Mike Guernsey second with a 548. Schulties had games of 249 and 212 while Sebastian Gentile rolled a 219 and Cory Mardorf a 212 for the Tigers. With the losses, both teams dropped to 5-3 in the league standings. The girls are currently in third place while the boys have dropped to fourth. The Tiger teams will be in action again on Wednesday afternoon when they host Quaker Valley at the Perry Park Lanes. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TIGER TEAMS SPLIT WITH BEAVER FALLS The Tiger teams split their match with Beaver Falls at the Perry Park Lanes on Wednesday afternoon. The Lady Tigers blanked Beaver Falls, 7-0, while the boys' team dropped a 7-0 decision. Senior Kelly McCullough led the way with a series total of 486 followed closely by freshman Meredith Michalojko with a 485. Senior Laura St. Onge was third with a 465. McCullough had the high single game with a 193 with Michalojko chipping in with a 180. St. Onge rolled a 179 and sophomore Maria Frantz posted a 171 for the winning Lady Tigers. Junior Mike Guernsey led the boys with a 582 series , including games of 210 and 202. Senior Grant Martens rolled a 565, including a 214, while junior Chris Sinagra recorded a 530 series total. With the results, both teams now have a 5-2 record in league play. NA will travel to Ambridge on Wednesday for a pair of 3:30 pm matches. MATCH
