Minutes of
January 8, 2007
Cheerleading Booster Meeting
The minutes from the December 4th meeting were approved by Julie Hailstone and seconded by Lisa Fuhrman.
New Business
At the next meeting Sandy will have a list of job descriptions for the booster positions. Let Sandy know by the first meeting after tryouts if you are interested in any of these jobs.
Try outs will be held after Nationals.
Mini Camp will be headed up by Diane Thumma this year. Anyone interested in helping please contact Diane. This effort will need as much help as we can get. The mini camp will again be the first week school is out.
Community Service Project
The Bethlehem Haven Center sent a thank you that Sandy read. They were thrilled with all the things the girls had done. They loved the luncheon for the women and they said there were so many gifts, more that any other organization had done before.
End of the Year Banquet
The Banquet will be Thursday, March 8th at Wildwood Country Club 6:00pm. This will give us three weeks to prepare for the banquet after Nationals. January 18th at Wexford Panera’s will be a separate meeting for anyone wishing to help or you can contact Sandy. Separate banquet sheet was handed out to describe the jobs that need to be done for the banquet.
Nationals
There will be a meeting for the Varsity team going to Nationals with Mr. Bozzuto. This meeting will be during the week and the athlete and a parent must attend. Mr. Bozzuto will be talking to the group and the girls will have to sign a sheet to be allowed to go on the National trip.
Kim is doing spirit/treat bags for the girls for the airplane.
UBO – After this grading period the seniors will know which scholarships they can qualify for.
Clothing – Think about next year if the girls want to introduce a new color of clothing. Cindy will check about the shoes for next year to see if we can wear all white shoes of any kind.
Reps
Varsity – All the uniforms need to be collected prior to the banquet along with the old bags. The olds bags will be used to store the uniforms in for next year. Any picture that can be used for the poster please e-mail to the Varsity reps. Senior night will be Feb. 2nd for the girls only since we will be at Nationals during the Basketball Senior Night. Feb. 9th is a pep rally the Varsity girls will be out of town.
JV – Any pictures for the end of the year poster please e-mail to the JV reps.
Freshmen –Any pictures for the end of the year poster please e-mail to the Freshmen reps. The Freshmen girls will be writing good luck notes to the JV and the Varisity girls for their Penn State competition. Joanne will be collecting the uniform and pom poms after the last game on Feb 8th.
Fundraising
Nationals are very expensive. We need to think of fundraising for next year and get started early.
Treasurer – Banquet budgets will be talked about at the banquet meeting.
