The evening honored the efforts and accomplishments of the ladies in the program. Special recognition was given to the graduating seniors. The deep bonds of friendship that have cultivated throughout the years were evident as the tears began to flow. Master of Ceremonies, Mr. Mike Petrasek, kept the evening moving with his light-hearted style and fun-loving personality. Senior athlete guest of honor, Adam Neugebauer, thanked the cheerleaders for their support to athletics at North Allegheny. He emphasized the locker decorating as amazing. Adam also thanked the junior varsity cheerleaders for their contributions to the basketball team while the varsity squad competed at nationals. Many of the cheerleaders were acknowledged at the banquet for their academic achievements. Forty-six ladies received academic awards for the fall reporting period, and forty-two received awards for the winter period. At games, competitions, and in the classroom, the cheerleaders highlight the best of our district. Best wishes in the future to all of you. * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

with excitement and enthusiasm. The ladies are now getting prepared for
the basketball season as well as their next competition in Penn State on
January 21st. Pennsylvania State Cheerleading Championships (11/18/2006 at the Cambria County War Memorial) The North Allegheny Varsity cheerleaders hit a SOLID routine at the State Competition! They improved tremendously over their performance the week prior, and their energy was contagious throughout the arena! They competed against 10 other Varsity teams in the Super Varsity category and received a 5th place trophy overall. The girls were up against some outstanding teams in the state and even placed higher than some perennial favorites!! Our goal heading into the competition was to place in the Top 5, and the girls did just that! The Varsity girls hope to improve the minor mistakes to their routine and add in difficulty as they head into their upcoming events. The girls now head off to their next competition of the season, which is a VERY important one! The Varsity will be competing at the Allegheny Super Regional, where they will be trying to earn a "bid" to the National High School Cheerleading Championship. The girls are improving every week and the competition on December 9th at Slippery Rock should certainly be an exciting one!!
