NA Cheerleading Booster Meeting
May 29, 2007
I Opening Remarks
Sandy Mencini reviewed Booster organization’s responsibilities & mission. The coaches were each introduced & briefly addressed booster members
II Introduction of Coaching Staff
Dana- Tumbling & Conditioning- presented summer times & prices- passed out information sheet. There will only be one day of tumbling available for all girls over the summer
Kami- JV coach- discussed her philosophy for the year. She is hoping the girls will be able to compete at nationals this year
Courtenay- Varsity coach- Courtenay will be at the freshman practices until a new coach is hired. They are very close to hiring a coach.

IV Introduction of the Boosters
Rose Woolley introduced the boosters & explained the role. She reviewed the chain of command- Coaches first- then AD office. Booster’s role is to support the girls & fundraise.
This year there will not be one fundraising chairperson. She passed out a sheet with numerous ideas for fundraising opportunities for the girls as well as the organization. Please contact Rose if you are interested in chairing any of the events or activities
One idea that was initiated last season was an idea for a spirit T- shirt. Patti Amos did the groundwork for this and a committee was formed to work on this. The goal will be to distribute these for sale at the start of football season
Rostering information is being gathered- emails needed from all parents
Monthly meetings will begin in August- next meeting August 20th
V Treasurers Report
Rose discussed expenses from last year, as well as monthly individual escrow accounts. Money due today for booster dues & clothing deposit etc.
VI Clothing
Cindy Roberts sized the girls for mini-camp shorts & t-shirts- they will be provided at no cost to all cheerleaders
New shoes were selected. The girls will only be ordering one pair this year. Last year’s shoe will be worn for football games
A new uniform item will be ordered for varsity- a body liner for competition uniforms. Boosters & AD office will split the cost of this item
Cindy also reviewed optional items that may be purchased by new Varsity cheerleaders: jacket, mega phone & bag
The freshman girls will reuse their middle school jacket
VII Mini-Camp
Diane Thumma & Marilyn Wagner discussed the upcoming mini-camp. 106 Girls registered thus far. All cheerleading parents need to help in some way to make this fundraiser a big success. Program Ad forms were distributed. Program ad sales benefit both the cheerleader as well as the organization.
Food donation & sign-ups were discussed. Hoagie sales were discussed. Each cheerleader is expected to purchase a minimum of one hoagie. The bake sale on Friday of mini-camp needs all cheerleaders to supply 2 doz cookies
