Tigers Punish Peters Township For Road Win, 75-50

North Allegheny’s best shooting day of the young season produced a 75-50 blowout win over the Peters Township Indians on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers shot 49-percent on the day and were led by senior Curtis Aiken who poured in a game-high 21 points. Already leading 30-20 coming out of halftime, NA outscored the Indians 26-10 in the third quarter to pull away.

To capture their first win of season, the Tigers also outrebounded the Indians, 36-22. Senior Zach Johnson tallied a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.  Senior guard Ray Sandherr added 12 points in the win.

For Peters Township, only Dax Ploskina was permitted double figures by the NA defense with 13 points on 3 of 8 shooting from the field.

North Allegheny improves to 1-4 on the season. After a 3-0 start, Peters Township suffered its fourth straight loss and plummets to 3-4 on the year. The Tigers will host Franklin Regional on Wednesday, December 27 at the Wright Automotive Holiday Tournament.
