NA continues momentum with win over North Hills
North Allegheny took the short trip to North Hills to take on the Indians in a non-section contest on Wednesday night. The Tigers jumped out to a 36-7 lead and coasted to a 42-21 triumph.
Joseph Synan started the night winning by forfeit to give NA the 6-0 lead. North Hills would pick up a major decision to make the score 6-4 before Dalton Stragand and Myles Hoover each won by pin to give North Allegheny an 18-4 lead. The Indians would claim a decision at 133 pounds to make the score 18-7 but the Tigers would take the next the four matches as Gus Stedeford (tech fall), Brody Magorien (decision), Griffen Reid (pin), and Gabriel Hernandez (major decision) all won to make the score 36-7. North Hills won the next three matches to make the score 36-21 before Bradyn McConneha put an exclamation point on the night pinning his opponent in 37 seconds to give NA the 42-21 win.
North Allegheny improves to 2-0 overall. North Hills falls to 0-1. The Tigers return to action when they travel to Kiski Area High School on Saturday to compete in the Kiski Area Duals. NA will take on Peters Township at 9 a.m., Penn-Trafford at 10 a.m. and Canon-McMillan at 11 a.m. before bracket play starts.
