Bradyn McConneha wins West Regional; advances to PIAA Individual Championships
North Allegheny had four wrestlers compete at the PIAA West Regional at Canon-McMillan High School over Friday and Saturday. Bradyn McConneha claimed the PIAA West Regional title and punched his ticket to the PIAA Individual Championships.
McConneha won his first round match by a 7-2 decision. In the quarterfinals, McConneha defeated John Montgomery from Franklin Regional, 5-2, in overtime to advance to the semifinals. It was another overtime victory for McConneha in the semifinals where he took down Canon-McMillan’s Dakota Carmona, 4-1. After falling to Cam Danna of West Allegheny in the WPIAL Championship a week ago, McConneha got his revenge defeating Danna, 4-1 in overtime, to claim the PIAA West Regional title.
Joseph Synan went 2-2 on the weekend. Evan Schomburg picked up a win.
