Bradyn McConneha claims silver at PIAA Individual Championships

North Allegheny senior Bradyn McConneha competed at the PIAA Individual Championships over the weekend at the Giant Center in Hershey, PA. Coming in as the top seed out of the west region, McConneha got to the 285-pound championship where he would claim the silver medal.

McConneha got the tournament started with a win by fall over Kolton Kemp from Manheim Township. In the quarterfinals, McConneha defeated Council Rock South’s Matthew Scott by a 4-2 decision. It was another 4-2 decision victory for McConneha in the semifinals when he defeated Brody Rebuck from Shikellamy. Rebuck was the top seed out of the northeast region. In the final, McConneha fell to Owen J. Roberts’ Dean Bechtold who finished the season 28-0.

McConneha finishes the season with a 42-4 record and finishes his career with a 104-31 record. He is currently committed to continue his career at Appalachian State next season.
