Tigers Batter Rams In Final Section Meet, 59-15
Concluding its section schedule on Wednesday night, the North Allegheny wrestling team defeated the Pine-Richland Rams for a road victory, 59-15. The Tigers fell behind 15-0 to start the meet but did not lose a single bout the rest of the night to batter the Rams in a rout.
The evening began at 113 pounds and Pine-Richland took the first three bouts, including two pin falls, for a 15-0 advantage. North Allegheny dominated the rest of the meet with 11 straight victories and seven wins by fall. Those winning by fall included Jake Hinkson (138), Sean Kalmeyer (152), Jacob Smalley (160), Jake Woodley (182), Francis Duggan (220), Chuck Sanders (285) and Jacob Downing (106).
North Allegheny finishes the section campaign with a 4-1 mark ahead of the Section 3-AAA Tournament next week. Pine-Richland drops to 1-4 in the section. Meanwhile, the members of the Tigers wrestling team will take part in the Allegheny County Tournament this weekend.
