Carter Melzer Selected To Roundball Classic

A North Allegheny senior will represent the Tigers at this year’s Roundball Classic held at UPMC Court this spring. Carter Melzer was selected as one of the many area seniors to participate in the event being held May 24th-25th.
Melzer was a consistent leading scorer for the Tigers throughout the year averaging 12.9 points per game. He also led NA in rebounding with 5.1 per game. Defensively, the senior was solid averaging 1.3 steals, good for second on the team.
He scored a season-high 26 points on December 20 against Pine-Richland.
Melzer was named to the Big 56 All-Conference Second Team in Section 1-6A at season’s end. It was his first all-conference selection.
The 21st Roundball Classic will feature seven all-senior games over two days — four boys and three girls — with players from the WPIAL, City League and District 10.
