Carter Melzer named Big 56 All-Section Second Team
North Allegheny senior Carter Melzer was selected as a Big 56 All-Section second team player by the coaches of Section 1-6A. This is Melzer’s first appearance on the Big 56 all-section team.
Melzer was consistently the leading scorer for the Tigers throughout the year averaging 12.9 points per game. Melzer also led North Allegheny in rebounding with 5.1 a game. Defensively, Melzer was solid as well averaging 1.3 steals, good for second on the team.
Melzer’s season-high in scoring came on December 20 against Pine-Richland when he scored 26 points.
